Rare, lost-wax bronze cast Venetian door knocker in a lyre form. It is framed by two descending dolphins, one on either side, holding a scallop in their mouths. From the sides of their heads emanate acanthus leaves. A putto is standing on top of the scallop. Above the figure is a scrollwork shield supported by the two upward-bound dolphin tails.
