Vietnam War Era Chinese Type 65 Gas Masks with Carriers – ChiCom / NVA / Viet Cong Type 65 (M65) gas masks with their olive drab canvas carrier bags. These are genuine People’s Liberation Army (PLA) issue masks that were supplied in quantity to North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and Viet Cong forces during the Vietnam War.

What’s included:

• Type 65 full-face gas masks

• Matching olive green canvas shoulder carriers with adjustable straps

• All of the masks remain in their original clear plastic storage bags

• One original olive-drab metal filter canister (with white fabric tape marking) per pack

These are the classic lightweight Chinese “cheek filter” design introduced in 1965. The distinctive large integral filter is mounted on the left cheek of the facepiece. Dual circular eyepieces are set in metal frames. The carriers are the standard issue olive canvas bags used with these very good surplus condition. Most masks appear clean and complete. They remain sealed in their original plastic bags. Carriers show normal light storage wear, fading, and minor scuffs consistent with long-term military storage. The Type 65 was developed by China in the mid-1960s as a compact, lightweight protective mask. Large numbers were provided to North Vietnam as military aid and saw use by both NVA regulars and Viet Cong forces.
