Beautiful vintage set of three Viking Glass Epic mushroom figurines in the desirable Avocado green color. These sculptural mushrooms have the bold organic form and rich color that make Viking Glass so distinctive and such a favorite with Mid-Century Modern collectors.
The set includes three graduated sizes, with the largest measuring approximately 4 inches tall and 4 inches across the top. Each mushroom is substantial hand-formed glass with the wonderfully irregular, flowing shape expected from Viking’s Epic line. One retains a partial original Viking label, which is a great bonus for collectors.
The Avocado color is a deep, saturated green that changes beautifully depending on the lighting and really emphasizes the thickness and sculptural quality of the glass. Please note that these are Viking’s Avocado green color and are not being represented as uranium or Vaseline glass.
Overall condition is excellent. The two smaller mushrooms have no chips, cracks, or repairs. The largest has one very small nick, which has been photographed and is reflected in the price. Otherwise, the set displays beautifully with excellent clarity and color.
A terrific matched group for a Viking Glass collection, Mid-Century Modern display, retro interior, or vintage art glass collection. Finding three together in graduated sizes is far more appealing than assembling individual examples one at a time.
