This item is a vintage Jeannette Glass Company Delphite blue stacking refrigerator dish set manufactured during the 1920s. Jeannette's specific Delphite formula yields a medium-to-rich blue color that is noticeably darker and denser than the lighter blues made by competing companies like McKee and Fire-king. This highly collectible modular storage set was engineered during the early days of home refrigeration to optimize shelf space. A complete full set typically consists of one large 4" x 8" rectangular base dish and two small 4" x 4" square dishes that stack perfectly flat on top of the large base lid. One of the smaller squares has a tiny chip in the lid on the outer edge, and I do believe there is a small dip, barely noticeable in the large lid. Therefore I have reduced the price significantly. You would NOT be disappointed. The matching Delphite glass lids feature indented center grips or completely flat tops to keep the stacked units structurally stable and securely balanced.
