The Vintage 1939 Detrola Pee Wee Portable Suitcase Style Tube Radio Model # 282 is a super RARE consumer electronic made in Detroit Michigan.. This portable radio, known for its suitcase style design, is a collectible item that showcases the art and craftsmanship of vintage radios with its art deco style.. With its unique design this is sure to be a prized possession for any vintage radio collector.It does show lots of wear on this rare cloth style cover. It has a wonderful classic striped design. It is missing the handle and there is a hole beneath the knobs that I believe was a place for a amp port but I am not positive about that. In my research I did not find another one with this hole.This radio runs on batteries . it has not been tested out. I did take the back off but honestly could not see where the batteries went. I did see it was missing all 4 tubes...Selling as-is for a project for someone or a great little show piece.
