Cordey was famous for its Dresden-style craftsmanship, and this piece showcases their rare, specialized "dipped lace" technique. Real fabric lace was saturated with liquid porcelain slip before being fired, burning away the fabric to leave behind an incredibly thin, fragile, and detailed porcelain "lace" gown and collar. The piece is further embellished with hand-painted pastel details, ornate blue bows, and hand-formed porcelain clay roses around the base. Kept in non smoking home.
