Vintage 1940s Kingswood Lever-Filler Fountain Pen – Blue Marl Pearl (14K Gold Nib)
Up for sale is a beautiful, restored example of a British-made 1940s Kingswood fountain pen, manufactured under the Wahl-Eversharp umbrella.
This piece features a striking "Blue Marl" (blue, grey, and black marbled pearl) celluloid barrel and cap that catches the light beautifully.
Signature Trim - Features the early, highly collectible Art Deco three-tier stepped clip and a single gold-filled cap band.
The barrel engraving is exceptionally sharp and deep, reading perfectly: "KINGSWOOD / BRITISH MADE".
Fitted with an original, bright 14-Karat Solid Gold semi-flex nib that offers wonderful smooth line delivery.
The pen has been completely disassembled and fitted with a brand-new internal latex rubber ink sac.
Fully tested with fountain pen ink. It fills efficiently via the side lever, has excellent ink flow, and writes beautifully.
As shown in the included writing sample photo, the original 14k gold nib is a smooth, wet, and bouncy Medium writer with rich ink flow. It handles cursive loops, quick strokes, and cross-hatching effortlessly without a single skip or hard start.
Excellent vintage condition. The celluloid body has vibrant color convergence with no cracks, deep gouges, or personal engravings. Mild micro-scratching consistent with a pen of its age.
The lever assembly is firmly seated and snaps back crisply against the barrel.
