The originalHolgate Fairyland Train#1250was manufactured by between1948-1950.It was part of a broader line of durable, educational wooden toys produced by the Holgate Toy Company in Kane, Pennsylvania.A reproduction of the set was sold in1991.
The Fairyland Train is 77 years old and in very good condition. A couple of the peg figures have some chips and heavier wear. Two of the figures appear to be replacements made out of clothes pins. The original owner added a wooden spool for their child to pull the train with.
