This great sweater is from Gokey’s St. Paul, and the label indicates it was produced in the 1950s. Gokey’s, originally located in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, was known for high-quality sportswear and hunting gear. This sweater is knit of a soft 100% wool in a rich creamy ivory with a blue, red, and gold fair isle-type design that looks like glowing candles on the top! It has a ribbed 2” neck and cuffs, and a stitched high-hip hem. Note that the sweater is sized a large, but I base the small-medium designation on these measurements: bust-36”, length-25”, sleeve length-24”. This classic, cozy sweater is in excellent condition.
