Vintage 1950s Rushton Style Rubber Face Donkey Plush Large Sleepy Eyes RARE:
$174.99
Wonderful vintage rubber-face donkey plush, 1950s style. Long shaggy cream-white fur, standing on all fours with tall upright ears, and that unforgettable sleepy painted face — heavy-lidded eyes with long lashes, big black nose, freckled muzzle and a little pink tongue. The molded vinyl face is in lovely shape with one small white scuff on the nose (see close-up photo). The fur is dusty from long storage and the donkey is sold unwashed, exactly as found and as pictured — a gentle surface clean will bring it up beautifully. A charismatic piece for a vintage plush or nursery collection. Attribution note: no maker\'s tag is visible in the photos provided; the molded face style and construction are consistent with Rushton Star Creation plush of the 1950s, so he is offered as a Rushton-style rubber-face donkey, sold as pictured.
