Original circa 1950s Japanese sukajan souvenir jacket featuring reversible satin construction and exceptional embroidered artwork on both sides.
The gold side features tiger and eagle chest embroidery with a dramatic large eagle, Mt. Fuji, clouds and floral motifs across the back. Reverse to the rich blue side for another tiger and eagle front and an elaborate embroidered map of Japan featuring Mt. Fuji, pagoda, dragon, florals and numerous Japanese city and place names including Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kure, Beppu, Sapporo and others.
Finished with off-white sleeves, contrast piping, slanted hand pockets and collectible TTS TOKYO marked reversible metal zipper hardware. The zipper is functional.

This is a heavily worn vintage garment with substantial age and condition wear. There is staining, spotting and discoloration; blue dye bleeding/transfer onto portions of the off-white sleeves, collar and trim; color variation across the blue and gold fabric; and frayed/threadbare areas with some small holes around the trim. Embroidery remains visually striking overall. The blue dye appears sensitive to moisture, so professional vintage textile care is recommended rather than conventional washing.
