Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage mid-20th-century complete Sephardic Jewish prayer book, Siddur Ohr Yesharim (סדור שלם אור ישרים). This edition was published by the well-known Isaac Bakal publishing house on Tachkemoni Street in Jerusalem, Israel, and printed by Eretz Press.
Cover Details:The highlight of this piece is its striking, vintage Bezalel-style metal relief outer casing.Front Cover Design: Features the Two Tablets of the Ten Commandments topped by a crown, framed by elaborate geometric borders.Inscriptions: Embossed at the top is the traditional Hebrew verse "מה טובו" (Mah Tovu / "How goodly...") and at the bottom "אהליך יעקב" (Ohalecha Ya'akov / "...are your tents, O Jacob"). Accents: Set with vibrant, turquoise-colored faux stone cabochons (please see condition details below).
Condition Notes (Please Review Photos Carefully):Cover: The metal casing is structurally sound and retains great vintage patina. Please note that two turquoise accent stones are missing from the left corner corners of the front face. Interior Pages: The pages show natural age-appropriate yellowing, tanning, and minor fraying along the outer paper edges. The text remains fully legible. Binding: Secure inside the metal housing, though the paper edges reflect its age and usage.
