Vintage and unique John F. Kennedy memorial portrait bust, approximately 12 inches tall, with an approximately **5” × 5” integral base. This substantial JFK sculpture features a bronze/gold-tone antiqued finish with detailed facial features, textured hair, suit and tie.
The front of the pedestal bears an incised version of Kennedy’s famous inaugural quotation:
“ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY”
The base also identifies JOHN F. KENNEDY and the memorial dates 1917–1963. The underside is marked MEXICO.
Based on its construction, styling, memorial dates and comparable examples, this appears consistent with a vintage 1960s Mexican-made JFK commemorative bust. Exact maker is unknown.
The piece retains an attractive aged bronze/gold appearance. There is scattered finish loss consistent with age and a small chip to the ear. These areas have been left untouched rather than repainted or restored.
