Vintage C. F. Martin GT-70 semi hollow electric guitar in Burgundy finish.
This is a rare American made Martin electric guitar from the company\'s short lived GT Series of the mid 1960s.
Based on the body design, construction, hardware, pickups, headstock configuration and factory markings, this guitar is identified as a Martin GT-70.
The interior of the body bears the C. F. Martin & Co., Nazareth, PA., Made in U.S.A. factory marking.
We were unable to locate a visible serial number, therefore the exact production year cannot be independently confirmed.
The guitar has clearly lived a long life and shows substantial signs of age, previous use and wear throughout. The Burgundy finish displays extensive checking, scratches, scuffs, dings, finish loss and other cosmetic wear consistent with a vintage instrument of this age.
There are areas throughout the instrument that show evidence of its long history and possible previous service or repair work. Because the complete history of the guitar is unknown, we are not representing every component as completely original.
The large original style white pickguard is not present.
