Offered here is an original 1979 McDonald’s Happy Meal “Space Raiders” eraser set, manufactured by Diener Industries and owned since new.
This is a complete matching group from the promotion, featuring classic late-1970s space and sci-fi designs. All pieces are unused, never erased, and retain strong original color with sharp molded detail.
Included Figures:
• Astronaut (yellow)
• Rocket ship (blue)
• Alien / Space Raider figure (green)
• Flying saucer UFO (pink)
• Space creature / missile oddball (orange)
These rubber erasers were intended as disposable kids’ premiums, making unused original-owner examples extremely difficult to find over 45 years later. Surface texture and minor porosity are normal for vintage rubber and confirm authenticity.
Condition:
• Unused / never erased
• Original owner
• No restoration or cleaning
• Bright color retention
• No missing pieces
• One astronaut shows a small age split at the legs (clearly shown; does not affect display)
Era & Context:
• McDonald’s Happy Meal premium
• Space-themed promotion
• Late 1970s sci-fi nostalgia
• Classic Diener Industries rubber novelty production
This set displays beautifully and appeals to:
• McDonald’s collectors
• Vintage toy & premium collectors
• Space / sci-fi nostalgia collectors
• Rubber eraser & novelty specialists
A rare opportunity to acquire a well-preserved, original Space Raiders group with known provenance.
