Up for sale is a 1981 Sunsational Malibu Christie by Mattel, stock #7745, still in her original box.
Sunsational Malibu Christie is Barbie's friend from Mattel's popular Malibu beach line, which also included Malibu Barbie, Ken, P.J., and Skipper. She wears a shiny yellow one-piece swimsuit with a red halter tie and a flower appliqué, and her long dark hair is pulled back with her pink "mirrored" sunglasses on top. Her orange beach towel is visible behind her in the window, set against the bright green backdrop. According to the box, she comes with her swimsuit, "mirrored" sunglasses, and beach towel. She's a great piece of early '80s Barbie history and a nice addition for collectors of the Malibu line or of Christie dolls.
