.This listing is for a beautiful, classic 1981 Rolex Datejust Reference 16013 featuring a gorgeous champagne sunburst stick dial. This is a highly desired transitional vintage model that features a very clean acrylic crystal paired with the modern convenience of the Caliber 3035 Quickset date movement.
The watch is dated to 1981 via its 6.74M serial number. Watch will be sold with an aftermarket strap.
The original champagne sunburst stick dial is in excellent vintage condition with gorgeous gold indices and a crisp outer Roman minute track. Tritium plots show beautiful, age-appropriate cream coloration. The dial is signed T SWISS MADE T.
The vintage acrylic crystal is clear showing only very faint surface marks which can easily be polished out with Polywatch if desired.
The 36mm Stainless Steel case remains thick with well-defined lugs. The yellow gold fluted bezel is sharp.
The automatic Caliber 3035 movement functions smoothly, keeps time, and the quickset date mechanism clicks over crisply at midnight. The crown screws in/out with a couple of turns smoothly. Pictures of the very clean movement are also attached. Although the movement runs well, it has not been tested professionally. The service history is unknown; therefore, I cannot guarantee its future or advanced functions.
