Line-capacity markings around the spool housing
The reel has been manually tested and is working well. The handle turns smoothly, the spool operates correctly, the bail arm opens and returns correctly, anti-reverse operates and the drag adjustment is working.
Supplied with the spool and fishing line shown in the photographs. The age, type and condition of the existing line are unknown, so it should be replaced before fishing.
There is age-related cosmetic wear including scratches, small areas of paint loss and marks to the black finish, particularly around the reel foot and edges. No attempt has been made to restore or repaint it. Please study all photographs for condition.
A good usable example of the classic French-made Mitchell 300A, equally suitable for a vintage tackle collection or for someone wanting an old-school Mitchell reel to use.
