Striking vintage hand-worked copper angel wall sculpture, signed/inscribed Jake Williamson and dated 1986 on the reverse.
This substantial piece measures approximately 31 inches long and depicts a graceful angel with raised arms, flowing robes and large dimensional wings. The copper has been cut, shaped and hammered to create wonderful texture and dimension throughout the figure, hair, clothing and wings.
The front has developed a beautiful naturally aged verdigris patina, displaying shades of green, brown and exposed copper. The reverse retains considerably more of the warm original copper coloring and provides a great view of the handmade construction.
A metal hanging loop is attached to the reverse for wall display.
