This deck features Powell-Peralta\'s iconicSkull & Sword artwork, one of the company\'s most recognizable early graphics, originally conceived by Ray “Bones” Rodriguez and illustrated by legendary skateboard artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson.
This particular version features the later full Skull & Sword treatment with the large skeleton background, Powell Peralta banners, yellow sword, red accents and classic Powell “P” logo.

Based on the original markings, shape, graphics and approximately 15\" wheelbase, this deck dates to the1987–1988 Powell-Peralta eraand corresponds to the classic old-schoolGee-Gaw / Geegah style shape.

Provenance
This deck has been in my personal collection since the1990s, when it was given to me as a birthday gift by my cousin, who was also a collector.
I have retained it ever since.
It was already a vintage/older skateboard when it entered my collection and has remained stored as a collectible rather than being restored or refinished.
Condition
This is a genuine vintage skateboard deck showing authentic age and use.
Importantly, theSkull & Sword graphic remains remarkably strong, with excellent color and substantial original artwork still present. The turquoise/blue background, yellow sword, red banners and black-and-white skeleton create a particularly striking display.
The top Powell Peralta “Extra Tough” graphic is also well preserved.
No restoration or touch-up has been performed.
The photographs show the actual deck being offered and are an important part of the description.
Collector significance
Original 1980s Powell-Peralta decks have become highly collectible pieces of skateboard history. Unlike current Skull & Sword reproductions and reissues, this example carries itsoriginal 1987 and 1988 Powell Corp copyright markingsand has documented personal ownership extending back to the 1990s.
