Vintage 1996 Early Jurassic Theropod Dinosaur Footprint Replica Plaque Kit (Model #UJK.01) Weighs 3.5 LBS
Great gift for anyone who loves dinosaurs! Excellent condition. No cracks or damage. This was handmade, so expect the edges to be jagged in some areas.
Up for sale is a wonderful vintage educational dinosaur track replica , Model #UJK.01, manufactured in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1996. This kit features a highly detailed, museum-quality replica cast of a genuine Early Jurassic Theropod footprint originally discovered at the base of the Kayenta Formation in eastern Utah.
Made from a heavy, beautifully textured sandstone-colored cast block that perfectly mimics the natural stone matrix. It features a crisp, clear tridactyl (three-toed) print detailing individual toe pads and claw marks.
The original footprint was left roughly 190 million years ago by a bipedal, meat-eating dinosaur (estimated at 3 feet high at the hip, similar to a Coelophysis or Dilophosaurus) as it walked across an ancient lake shoreline.
