Vintage 2001 Adrienne Teeguarden Sundance Turquoise & Pewter Concho Belt – Made in USA
A beautiful and substantial vintage belt by renowned American designer Adrienne Teeguarden, dated 2001.
I purchased this belt from Sundance around 2001 and have worn it a few times. It has been carefully stored and remains in great vintage condition.
The belt features 12 pewter conchos, each approximately 1.5 x 1 inches, with a genuine turquoise-colored round cabochon set in the center. The conchos run along the length of the light tan suede/genuine leather belt and are paired with a matching pewter buckle.
The buckle is hand-stamped:

The original manufacturer’s sticker remains on the belt and reads:
“Made in USA of lead free pewter and genuine leather.”
The combination of the large conchos, turquoise centers, warm natural suede, and substantial pewter hardware gives this belt a wonderful Southwestern/artisan character. It is a beautiful example of Teeguarden’s early work and would make a terrific addition to a collection of vintage Southwestern, Western, artisan, or designer jewelry and accessories.
