This Vintage Nelly Don Rayon Dress dates from 1938-1941, dating by the 47\" length as after 1942 with rationing they were shorter, pearlized white metal shank buttons down the bodice, Peter Pan collar that has a hidden snap, Bib tuxedo style pintuck pleats, amazing shoulder pads with 3 snaps that are removable, the color is and orangy tomato red. A metal hook and eye at the waist and a hidden snap below the waist. Long sleeves with cuffs and 2 matching buttons. Below the waist are a bonus of 2 hidden pockets, pinked seams. Also, has straps with snaps to hang on a hanger.
The Condition is Amazing, no stains or damage, missing belt, and the label shows slight wear. This has been hand washed, air dried and pressed not steamed, it presses easily, not lined.
Size would probably fit a Modern Size 4 to 6, but go by the measurements provided.
