Absolutely stunning vintage 1950s dress by Doris Dodson Juniors, in a gorgeous peach/coral cotton. The bodice is lovely as the architectural pin-tucking creates a fitted, structured look through the chest, with a three-tiered waist treatment leading into a beautifully full, pleated skirt. Cap sleeves complete the silhouette. Metal zipper with hook-and-eye closure at the top, running down the back.
This dress was soaked and gently cleaned, as it had clearly been in storage for some time, and it came out beautifully. The colors are bright and clean with no odor.
Condition: Impeccable for its age. No holes, no stains. The dress is unhemmed - the original hem has fallen — you can faintly see where it was previously hemmed, so a buyer could easily re-hem to their preferred length. Some light wear to the bottom of the back zipper, and a small amount of the tucking along the back waist could benefit from being hand-tacked back in place that are very minor and easy fixes, noted for full transparency.
