Stunning vintage 1960s burgundy/wine /blood red rayon velvet evening gown with a dramatic Old Hollywood romantic silhouette. Features a wide portrait neckline, with a slight off-the-shoulder, structured boned bodice, raised empire-style waist, long bracelet sleeves that come to a point at the cuff, and a long elegant skirt finishing in a rounded sweep train. At the back waist there is a small bow that attaches on one side with a snap after zipping.
The rich rayon velvet has wonderful depth and movement in the light. Fully lined in polyester, Made in USA, with a Talon zipper and original size 12 tag. (Note that vintage sizing is quite different from modern, this is more like a modern small).
The train was slightly shortened by a professional seamstress to remove a tattered portion of the original hem, while retaining its graceful rounded train, and it has also been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear. These factors play into the price.

Condition: excellent vintage condition with expected signs of age/use. Please review photos closely for condition and use measurements for best fit. (Please note crush of velvet in a few spots are NOT damage)
