Up for sale is an incredible piece of vintage American heritage wear: a genuine mid-to-late 1980s Lee Storm Rider denim jacket (Style 221-2647). This is the highly desirable 4-pocket version, featuring the slanted lower hand-warmer pockets introduced by Lee in 1986.
Proudly manufactured in the United States, the care label features the official printed United Garment Workers of America (UGWA) union stamp.
Built to last, this jacket features a beautiful, rugged mid-blue indigo right-hand twill denim, the signature contrasting beige corduroy collar, and the iconic horizontally striped blanket torso lining for excellent insulation. Features the heavy duty Lee-branded metal shank buttons, zig-zag placket stitching, and the corduroy lined collar.
This specimen is in excellent vintage used condition. The denim has exceptional natural fading and character with no heavy staining, fraying, or structural tears. The blanket lining and pocket tags remain fully intact. The indigo blue remains deep and vibrant, and the garment tag is crisp and perfect, telling us this jacket has not been overly washed or harshly dried. It is a spectacular survivor of the past 35-40 years.
