Vintage Aynsley 15287 Scots Thistle Teacup Saucer Hand Tinted England c1930
Condition
Very beautiful vintage/antique condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. There are a few errant marks on the exterior of the cup as pictured, along with noticeable wear to the gilding consistent with age and loving use.
Description
A charming early Aynsley teacup and saucer in pattern 15287, commonly known as Scots Thistle, dating to approximately the late 1920s–early 1930s. Delicate purple thistles and vivid green foliage are scattered across the white china, with hand-tinted/hand-painted detailing and gold trim.
Both pieces bear the earlier Aynsley crown and England backstamp, and the saucer is additionally hand numbered 15287. A wonderful piece for the Aynsley collector and an especially pretty choice for a wedding, Mother\'s Day gift, garden party, or Bridgerton-inspired tea table.
