This striking little piece has Camark\'s sculptural crescent or half-moon form, with two high curved points framing the opening. Molded floral decoration appears on both broad sides, and the planter stands on four small integral feet.
The glaze is especially attractive, ranging from deep burgundy to brighter oxblood red where the light catches the surface. The interior is also glazed.
An original Camark Pottery paper label remains attached to one side. The label has considerable age-related loss but the Camark name is still clearly readable.
Approximate dimensions:
- 4.5 in. tall
- 4.25 in. wide
- 2 in. deep
A charming and relatively small example of Camark\'s more sculptural mid-century pottery designs, well suited to a Camark, Arkansas art pottery, or vintage planter collection.
Please note: some light spots, streaks, and apparent surface irregularities visible in the photographs are reflections from the lighting and glossy glaze, not chips, scratches, or glaze defects.
