A striking and unusually substantial vintage cocktail/serving tray featuring a heavy architectural brass-tone frame, clear Lucite/acrylic rails and mirrored glass surface.
The elongated octagonal form is surrounded by a distinctive raised gallery constructed with thick cylindrical clear Lucite rods joined by substantial brass fittings and vertical supports. The lower brass frame features an unusual open architectural design.
This is not the lightweight type of mirrored vanity tray commonly found. It weighs over 7 pounds and has an impressive 3.5\" height.
The combination of Lucite, brass, geometric form and architectural construction is strongly reminiscent of Charles Hollis Jones and other high-end Hollywood Regency/Mid-Century Modern Lucite designs.
