This striking pair of matching Chinese dragon candlesticks was beautifully cast in solid brass featuring a detailed mythical Chinese dragon and lotus flower, designed to securely hold a taper candle. What makes this pair exceptional for collectors is the presence of the original markings on the underside of the bases. One holder features the hand stamped \"made in china\" export mark typical of mid to late 20th century work shop hallmark. These were made around the 1960\'s to 1980\'s and they are in excellent condition with a gorgeouse authentic aged patina. The brass shows beautiful natural oxidation and character marks from casting, which only enhances their vintage appeal. There are no cracks or structural damage but there does seem to be a repair on the base of one of the lotus flowers. Perfect for adding a touch of Hollywood Regency or traditional Chinoiserie flair to a mantle, dining table or shelving display.
