Authentic original early 1960s Beistle Jointed Pumpkin Goblin Man cardboard wall hanging.
Features iconic mid-century graphics with orange and green colors, pointed eyelashes, striped sleeves, and curled shoes.
Fully articulated with intact metal grommets for dynamic posing.
This is among the very earliest that this goblin man was made. The indicators are the plane, cardboard, backing, later models had double-sided and you can feel some areas are embossed on the front. It looks like in the 70s they made this same goblin man but with brighter paint colors.
It has a little string/thread attached to it to hang from a nail.
Sadly, this will hanging lost part of his right hand before I ever bought a 25 years ago. I always meant to make a copy by scanning his left hand and then flipping it, printing it, and then gluing it onto thin cardboard. (just in case you ever want to fix it.)
Also, one of the little leg joints is missing and has a bread twister wire keeping the leg on.
I always displayed it during Halloween as is.
Measurements:
• Total Height: Approximately 32 inches (when fully extended from stem to toes).
• Head Width: Exactly 15 inches (pumpkin head width)
The reverse side shows authentic vintage character, including unprinted kraft cardboard and old household tape reinforcements common for paper ephemera of this era.
