Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin Vintage 1968 Studio Photo Lot
Original mid-century black-and-white studio reference photos and photographic stats created circa 1968 featuring Frank Sinatra on stage and with Dean Martin before a Las Vegas nightclub audience.
Provenance: Sourced directly from the personal estate of Emmy Award-winning Hollywood graphic designer and title artist Sandy Dvore. These are the physical working reference prints kept in his studio for advertising and layout projects.
The Las Vegas performance photos: Two action shots show Sinatra and Martin performing together in front of a crowd. One print carries the historic ink stamp on the reverse from the Las Vegas News Bureau reading \"LAS VEGAS NEWS BUREAU LAS VEGAS, NEV. – P.O. BOX 28 PHOTOGRAPHERS DON ENGLISH JERRY ABBOTT JOE BUCK MILT PALMER 8121\"; the second is unstamped.
The artist reference prints: Includes a high-contrast photo of Sinatra singing at the microphone mounted on board with original handwritten layout notes in the lower margin reading \"13\" 4POS STAT FOR POSITION\" and \"Inv: Sandy Devore / Group 9,\" plus a separate close-up portrait print used for larger-scale layout studies.
Actual measurements: Three are 11 1/8\" x 14\" and one is 11 1/2\" x 15\".
Condition: Set of four original 1968 studio prints from Sandy Dvore\'s archive. All photos show handling from use, including light surface scuffs and small edge and corner bumps. Sinatra singing stat print has minor margin soiling, a small corner crease and a pencil inventory number on the back. Large halftone portrait board shows taped and rubbed corners with small paper loss, age toning and light surface soiling but remains complete and structurally sound. Las Vegas News Bureau stamp and handwritten layout notes are clear and legible.
