- This iconic nesting set features a deep bottom piece stamped \"10 1/2 INCH CHICKEN FRYER\" paired with a shallow top skillet that doubles perfectly as a hinged lid
- The top skillet features the classic Griswold Small Block Cross Logo and is clearly stamped \"NO. 80C\" near the rim
- This versatile set allows you to use both pieces independently as skillets, or lock them together at the hinge to form a self-basting dutch oven / deep fryer setup
- these were my Mother\'s skillets - she was a farmers wife with 6 children - the pans received heavy use and she used them for frying on top of the stove and in the oven as a dutch oven - I can still remember the great fried chicken that would come out of the oven for Sunday dinner - she would have been 106 this year so these are definitely old and received very heavy use - see the picture for details and closeups
