Vintage Guild “The Country Belle” Model 556 Tube Radio – Antique Telephone Style
Wonderful vintage Guild Country Belle Model 556 AM tube radio, made by Guild Radio & Television Corp. of Inglewood, California.
Designed to resemble an antique wall telephone, this unique radio features a wooden cabinet, telephone-style receiver with cloth-covered cord, brass bells, crank-style tuning control, and original Tone and Volume controls.
This example retains much of its original character and appears very complete. The original Guild schematic/diagram label is still present on the back.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, including surface marks, finish wear, patina/tarnish to the metal components, and fading/wear to some of the original control lettering. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the description.
UNTESTED: Due to the age of the original electrical components and power cord, I have NOT plugged in or powered on this radio. It is being sold as-is and its operating condition is unknown.
