Beautiful Vintage mid-century Japanese Hakata Clay Figurine depicting an elderly woman carrying a basket of persimmons.
This authentic, hand-crafted folk art doll dates back to the 1950s or 1960s. It features exquisite, realistic facial detailing characteristic of Master Ceramicist Hakata Urasaki's workshop production during the mid-20th century. The figure is dressed in a traditional dark kimono with a textured brown vest (haori), carefully holding a woven-texture basket containing vibrant red persimmon fruits.
The flat plaster base features the classic blue "MADE IN JAPAN" export stamp used during the post-WWII era.
