Fine vintage hand‑carved bamboo cylindrical pot / vase, traditionally used as a brush pot or for display. Deep, detailed openwork and relief carving showing a classic scene of scholars gathered in a dense bamboo grove, with further landscape detail including trees and a figure in a boat below.Beautiful aged dark patina, carved all around.
Condition: Solid and complete with no chips or broken carved sections. Has natural vertical drying cracks typical of older bamboo, and light surface wear/patina from age and use.
Size: Approx 27cm tall, 11cm wide at the rim.
