beautiful vintage, mid-century folk art wood carving featuring a seated Filipino man wearing a traditional wide-brim coolie hat and holding a curved bowl. Masterfully hand-carved from solid, heavy monkey pod wood, this highly collectible piece showcases rich, dark brown wood grain tones and excellent artistic detail in the face and hands.
While originally designed as an artisan tobacciana ashtray (complete with a subtle cigarette notch/rest at the front edge), its versatile aesthetic makes it a fantastic multi-use accent piece. It functions perfectly as an entry table coin and key catchall, a unique jewelry trinket dish, or a striking cultural centerpiece for rustic, tiki, boho, or mid-century modern (MCM) decor themes.
