Vintage Hand Carved Wooden Statue Indian Hindu God Ganesh Ganesha 17" tall:

My friend brought this over from India almost 25 years ago. I know it wasn't new when she bought it but I'm not sure how much older it is. It's a beautiful Ganesha statue. Looks to be carved from one piece of wood -- but check the photos. I'm not an expert on carved wood. It has some imperfections from its age, some knicks to the wood.
It's about 17" tall and 8.75" wide at the base. I have no idea what kind of wood it is but it looks like it's stained black. It's also quite heavy. About 7 lbs.
