Leer Gem was established around 1972, while the LGL trademark was documented in U.S. commerce by 1989 and federally registered in 1991. Based on the maker, construction, and style, these earrings are believed to date to approximately the 1990s–early 2000s, making them a vintage estate jewelry piece.Each earring contains seven lavender tanzanites: six pear-cut stones surrounding one round-cut center stone, for 14 tanzanites total across the pair. The mother-of-pearl flower on one earring has a very slight amount of rotational movement and can shift a few millimeters in relation to the gold backing. It remains securely attached. I see no cracking, breakage, or indication that the flower is separating from the setting.
