Vintage Line Mar Toys Japan G-MAN Patrol Car, dating to approximately the late 1950s/early 1960s. Classic Japanese tin lithographed/battery-operated toy associated with the Marx/Line Mar line.
This is the red G-MAN version with the distinctive twin machine-gun pieces extending from the side windows. The underside is clearly marked LINE MAR TOYS JAPAN.
Includes the car, green control cord and wired remote/controller shown in the photos.
Condition / important information:
Untested and being sold AS-IS
The two wires entering the remote/controller are currently disconnected, so I did not attempt to apply power
When inspecting the inside of the car, the gears/drivetrain move freely by hand
Motor and all electrical/mechanical functions have not been tested
Both side gun pieces are present
Car shows normal age-related wear, paint loss, scratches, oxidation, dirt/patina and general use
Controller also shows age and wear
No original box included
Please examine all photos closely for exact cosmetic condition and completeness
I chose not to repair, rewire, polish or heavily clean the toy so the next owner can decide how they would like to preserve or restore it.
A very cool survivor for a collector of vintage Japanese tin toys, Line Mar, Marx, battery-operated toys, police/G-MAN toys or 1950s automobiles.
