Offered is a wonderful one-owner collection of four vintage Steiff teddy bears, acquired by me beginning in the early 1980s.
Two of the bears were personally hand signed by Hans Otto Steiff in 1982 during an appearance at my local toy store in Bethesda, Maryland. I was there and had the bears signed myself.
On the medium brown bear, Hans Otto Steiff’s signature remains visible on one paw, with “1982” written on the other. The writing on the second signed bear has faded considerably over the years, as shown in the photographs.
The bears retain their Steiff button-in-ear identification and tags as pictured. Please refer closely to all photographs for the individual bears, tags, buttons, signatures, condition, and other details.
These bears have been part of my personal collection for more than 40 years and have never passed through multiple collectors or dealers. They are vintage collectibles and show age consistent with their age and storage.
Included in this listing:
4 vintage Steiff teddy bears
2 bears personally signed by Hans Otto Steiff in 1982
Original Steiff buttons/tags as shown in the photographs
I am currently offering the bears together as a collection. I may consider selling an individual bear separately for a serious collector; please contact me through if vintage condition. Please carefully review all photographs, as they are considered an important part of the description. Signature fading and any age-related wear are shown as clearly as possible.
These are treasured pieces from my personal collection and are being offered for the first time by their original owner.
