Up for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage 1960s/1970s Mid-Century Modern biomorphic sculptures. Standing at 23" tall, these abstract statues feature gorgeous flowing lines and a rich grain structure that brings warmth to any modern interior. The wood is remarkably lightweight with a porous texture, and based on its characteristics, I believe it is California redwood. They look fantastic styled on a credenza, dry bar, or shelving unit alongside other organic modern decor.Condition Details:
Pre-owned vintage condition. One of the sculptures has a natural age split at the block base that has been stabilized with a vintage wire-wrapped compression band—a classic studio craft fix that keeps the base solid and adds authentic character. The other base shows minor checking. The wood is lightweight and porous at the tips. No structural wobbles. Will be packed with extreme care.
