An organic form example of mid-20th century Italian art glass from the island of Murano, in Venice, Italy. Orange/red glass with silver speckles to the exterior. My parents collected this piece in the early 1960s. Probably originally made as an ashtray, but equally suitable either as a piece of sculptural art glass or as a dandy dish.
