Presenting a truly magnificent, monumental 48" x 36" original oil on canvas depicting five vibrant macaws in an atmospheric rainforest canopy. Salvaged directly from an architecturally significant mid-century modern estate, this piece was originally custom-commissioned and anchored directly to a 30-foot feature wall in a custom bamboo frame. The stretcher retains its original designer job order notations (W922-090 / 170 / X1343) and artist monogram "M".What Sets This Piece Apart:
• Rare 5-Bird Composition: Unlike common 1- or 2-bird decorative prints, this masterfully integrates five full-sized macaws (Blue-and-Gold and Scarlet) interacting across foreground and mid-ground perches.
• Superb Realistic Draftsmanship: Rendered with true anatomical precision, directional light modeling across each feather quill, and lifelike facial feather tracts—free of the flat, cartoonish look common in commercial tropical decor.
• Genuine Atmospheric Depth: Multi-layer composition contrasting crisp, vibrant foreground monstera leaves with misty, soft-focus background foliage for an immersive, near-three-dimensional window effect.
• Monumental Scale: At 4 feet wide by 3 feet tall, it serves as an instant statement anchor for luxury mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, or tropical maximalist interiors.SHIPPING & DELIVERY OPTIONS:Due to the monumental 48" x 36" scale of this piece, freight shipping on the full wooden frame can be substantial. To accommodate your preferences and budget, two delivery methods are available:1. Economy / Rolled Canvas Option (Recommended for lowest shipping cost):
To substantially reduce transit expenses and minimize risk, the canvas can be expertly and meticulously unstapled from the wooden stretcher bars and safely rolled paint-side-out over acid-free protective paper, then packed inside a heavy-gauge, crush-proof mailing tube. This allows for convenient, affordable shipping and lets you re-stretch or frame it locally to match your interior design.2. Full Stretched Canvas Delivery / Local Pickup:
If you prefer to keep the canvas mounted on its original
heavy-duty, dual-cross-braced custom wooden frame, freight/oversized carrier shipping can be arranged at the buyer's expense, or local pickup is gladly accommodated. Please contact us prior to or immediately following purchase to confirm your preferred shipping configuration so we can prepare your shipment accordingly. We can ship, however, you would like.
