The Auld Erin 263 Canadian, was crafted in the mid-1950’s, at the K&P Peterson’s pipe factory in Ireland. The nomenclature stamps are crisp & highly legible. The inner rim of the bowl isbeveled & sloped -the Stummel has the fantastic blasted finish that is super tactile and clean. - The hard to swallow: The original stem with the Irish Harp insignia was previously repaired with what appears to be CA glue. I’ve used a softy bit over it without issue - I’d suggest this is really the only drawback of this pipe.
I’ve reamed the chamber, cleaned the airways in the shank/stem with 99% alcohol… The Auld Erin is ready to smoke or continue cleaning to your satisfaction upon receipt. Measurements:
