Vintage Minox B 8x11 Subminiature Spy Camera – Complete Cased Kit (c. 1964)
Serial Number: 884 850 (Made in West Germany)
Up for sale is an exceptionally clean, well-preserved Minox B subminiature camera kit featuring its original factory display case, leather pouch, measuring chain, and literature. Produced around 1964, this mechanical classic has been inspected and tested for proper operation.
Condition & Functional Testing
Shutter: Tested and firing cleanly across all speeds from 1/1000s down to 1/2s, as well as B and T. The slow shutter speeds run smoothly with an audible escapement delay and do not hang up or stick.
Light Meter: Built-in selenium meter is responsive to light. The galvanometer needle reacts actively to changes in illumination, and the coupled follower calculator wheel turns properly. (Requires no battery).
Push-Pull Mechanism: The camera slides open and closed firmly and smoothly, cycling the film advance mechanism and frame counter reliably.
Optics & Filters: The viewfinder glass and 15mm f/3.5 Complan lens are clear. The internal filter wheel shifts smoothly between clear and color/neutral density filters.
Film Chamber: Spotless interior chamber and pressure plate assembly with no corrosion, flaking, or debris.
Cosmetics: Very fine vintage condition with light, honest handling wear. Clean satin-chrome finish. Engraved Imperial focusing scale (in feet/inches).
