Offered here is a remarkably preserved water pump for 1936–1938 Dodge applications, believed to be manufactured by Wohlert / Thoro-Test Mfg., part number 676841. The original period box is included and marked 676241, a likely superseded or service replacement number consistent with 1930s Mopar parts practices.
This pump presents as extremely well preserved and shows no visible signs of prior installation. There are no wrench marks on the mounting surfaces, no scarring on the gasket flange, and no evidence of coolant staining inside the housing. The shaft spins smoothly with no detectable wobble. The impeller remains clean and sharp.
The pump appears to have been lightly coated with a protective film of oil during long-term storage, a common preservation practice of the era.
The included original box is structurally intact for its age and bears the marking “3P6,” likely a production or batch code consistent with mid-1930s manufacturing.
Given its condition and preservation characteristics, this piece strongly presents as New Old Stock (NOS) or unused vintage service stock that has been carefully stored for approximately 90 years.
