World Classics, Inc. was a company that manufactured affordable decorative wall art and reproductions in the 1970s (and possibly into the early 1980s). They created mass-produced prints, silkscreens, and similar items based on works by famous artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and others. These were sold as inexpensive home décor rather than fine-art limited editions. Comparable pieces from the same line (for example, other Picasso-inspired designs like “The Owl”) are documented as vintage 1970s decorative prints, often on paper or acrylic, with catalog numbers in the same range.
Picasso himself created numerous bullfighting (tauromaquia) images throughout his career, including silhouette-style drawings and works in the Toros y Toreros series (around 1957–1961). This print draws on that well-known theme but is a commercial copy, not an original drawing, authorized lithograph, or estate-authorized edition.
