Vintage Pflueger Supreme No. 1573 Casting Fishing Reel – Circa 1930s
Offered here is an early pre-war Pflueger Supreme casting reel, believed to be a circa-1936 variation of the long-running Supreme No. 1573.
This early example features the black side plates, metal spool and frame, classic Pflueger free-spool/level-wind design, and the desirable multi-patent marking ending in “PATENTS PENDING.”
The reel is in original, unrestored vintage condition. It shows age-related wear including oxidation, surface corrosion, discoloration, scratches, plating loss and general wear from use and storage. I have intentionally not polished or restored the reel in order to preserve its originality and markings.
