Beautiful vintage hand-thrown studio pottery planter featuring a softly irregular rim, blue-gray speckled glaze and exposed earthy brown stoneware at the base.The contrast between the cool glaze and natural clay gives this piece a wonderfully organic, understated character. Wheel-thrown construction and subtle variations in shape and glaze emphasize its handmade nature.The planter was purpose-made with five drainage holes in the bottom—one larger center opening surrounded by four smaller openings.The underside bears hand-incised markings/signature; artist is currently unidentified.
